Garnduwa and KAMS team up to run Boxing in Derby

On Wednesday, October 21, our Derby Development Officer Fiona teamed up with the Tackling Indigenous Smoking team to run BoxFit for women and girls in Derby. Fiona had identified a group of women who work as service providers in Derby, who could use some ‘me time’.

Jarlyn and Tori delivered the session, spreading awareness about the harms of smoking and giving women the option to check how much carbon dioxide was in their bodies.

We listened to Eye of the Tiger, stretched and practised our upper cuts, hooks and jabs. Next week we will work on precision, timing and some new moves!
